Aedas joins Singapore’s Built Environment delegation at the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council Meeting

30 January 2026

Aedas is proud to be part of Singapore’s Built Environment (BE) Professionals delegation to the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council (SJCC) Meeting in Nanjing, China, with Aedas Executive Director David Chim and Aedas Principal Liu Yin Sheng as delegates.

As part of the bilateral BE networking panel on ‘Design Strategies for Sustainable Urban Renewal,’ jointly chaired by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) of Singapore and the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Jiangsu Province, Aedas Principal Liu Yinsheng introduced Singapore’s explorations in dealing with high-density urban environments, using the Aedas-designed Jurong East Integrated Transportation Hub (JEITH) as a case study. By constructing over existing operational MRT tracks and integrating multiple functions – including transportation, commercial, office, and community facilities – JEITH successfully achieved vertical intensive land use and maximised land value.

Following the SJCC Meeting, the delegates also visited Southeast University, welcomed by the School of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Transport, showcasing the school’s pedagogy and student works.

They also visited the Aedas-designed Nanjing Sembcorp Global Sustainability Hub located on the Singapore Nanjing Eco High-tech Island – a model for eco-friendly urban development and smart technology integration.

These exchanges serve to forge stronger bilateral talent exchanges, networking and internationalisation opportunities between Singapore and Jiangsu.
