Following the sponsorship to establish the first neonatal care unit in Da Nang city in 2011, Aedas continues to support neonatal care in Vietnam by sponsoring its staff to complete the 1,500-kilometer ‘Cycle a Difference’ charity ride. Joined by other cyclists from the UK, Hong Kong’s Director Don Conning and Interior Designer Joe Huddleston cycled to raise fund for Newborns Vietnam, a UK registered charity partnering with Dan Nang’s Department of Health to reduce newborn deaths and build the capacity of local nursing staff.
All funds raised will be used to develop and implement an 18-month neonatal training programme for local nurses, which will be led by Canterbury Christ Church University with the support of Royal College of Nursing.
Aedas believes that great design can only be delivered by people with a deep social and cultural understanding of the communities they are designing for, and the same philosophy applies to corporate social responsibility programmes. Aedas is proud to support charity causes that address the social, cultural and environmental needs of the communities we are serving.
