Our Global Design Principal Ken Wai and Executive Director Feili Shen were recently invited to attend the ‘Micro Urbanism’ Design Forum, which was jointly organised by Alibaba, Aedas and ArchDaily and held at Aedas’ newly completed Alibaba Nanhu Future Science Park in Hangzhou.
During the forum, they discussed how the architectural design of the future science park in Nanhu integrates Eastern heritage with future technology at the salon and shared their insights on the use of architectural design and their visions for the future park from different perspectives. “The uniqueness of a city lies in its scale and microstructure. A micro-city is not just a cluster of individual buildings, but a network of dynamics, gardens, and living circles.” Ken shared.
The Hangzhou Nanhu Future Science Park integrates the state-of-the-art office, tech laboratory, and visitor centre, creating a world-class research workplace in Hangzhou.
