Caroline Elizabeth Wilson, British Ambassador to People’s Republic of China, visited Chengdu recently. Accompanied by British Consul General in Chongqing Stephen Ellison, Hyperlane General Manager Lei Chen, Aedas Global Principal William Wong, Executive Director Yaochun Wen and Deputy Managing Director (China) Yinsheng Liu, Caroline visited Hyperlane which is designed by Aedas Global Design Principal Dr. Andy Wen and Executive Director Dongwei Wang.

The 2.4km long Hyperlane Park is located on the Northern axis of Chengdu’s urban centre. The project consists of retail, apartments and creative spaces. Adjacent to the Sichuan Conservatory of Music, the design concept derives from rhythms and sounds, the musical elements integrate the architecture to the local context. Hyperlane encompasses 12 plots, spanned across the sky garden corridor, overlooking the city and project entrances.

Aedas injects retail and social elements to the project through an open and relaxing shopping experience. This results in an ideal integration of the city and its people with landscape and businesses while creating a public urban oasis that is functional open and socialising.

The innovative design has inspired urban regeneration and created a new destination in Chengdu. With mutual values and goals, Aedas and Mr Chen’s team have become strategic partners, utlising the resources and industry insights to deliver revitalised masterpieces combining local context, regional commercial values and iconic projects.
