Daniel Abecasis at Desert Architecture MENA Forum

11 March 2025

Daniel joined the 2025 Desert Architecture MENA Forum, held on 26–27 February in Dubai. The two-day event welcomed over 200 professionals from across the region and beyond, gathered to explore innovative and responsive design solutions for arid environments.

As part of the session Designing for Harmony: Integrating Natural Elements into Arid Climate Architecture, Daniel contributed to the broader conversation on how nature can inform and inspire architecture in desert settings. The session explored themes such as biomimicry, biophilic design, and water-sensitive strategies—addressing the growing need for buildings that respond intelligently to extreme climates while fostering comfort and connection to the environment.

Daniel’s participation reflects Aedas’ commitment to thoughtful, climate-responsive design that serves local communities. Through his insights, he demonstrated how architecture can not only withstand harsh climates but also elevate community well-being—creating spaces that endure and inspire.
