The first-ever held Design Shenzhen 2023 has recently come to a successful conclusion at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Centre. During the conference, Aedas Director Fiona Chen was invited to attend the design forum as a keynote speaker and explored the changes in demand in commercial building designs with other professionals.
Fiona shared that architects need to consider ways to meet people’s needs at various levels to achieve a truly humancentric design. While the design of traditional commercial buildings is primarily based on the aim to maximise economic value, architects would now need to elevate the design to a higher level to accommodate users’ needs. She showcased a few design projects done by Aedas to further illustrate Aedas’ approach to creating human-centric designs.
