The World Architecture Festival (WAF) has announced the shortlist for this year’s WAF Awards. Five Aedas projects are on the list to run for the global honours. They are:
- China World Trade Center Phase 3C Development, Beijing, China, designed by Andrew Bromberg at Aedas (Leisure-led Development – Future Projects)
- Chongqing Xinhua Bookstore Group Jiefangbei Book City Mixed-use Project, Chongqing, China, co-designed by Global Board Director Andy Wen and Chairman Keith Griffiths (Commercial Mixed-Use – Future Projects)
- Qingdao Jinmao Harbour Shopping Center, Qingdao, China, designed by Chairman Keith Griffiths (Shopping – Completed Buildings)
- Sanya Integrated Commercial and Transportation Hub, Sanya, China, designed by Executive Director Kevin Wang (Commercial Mixed-Use – Future Projects)
- Tara Theatre, London, UK, designed by Executive Director Julian Middleton (Culture – Completed Buildings)
WAF Awards is the largest global award programme and conference dedicated to sharing and celebrating the latest in architectural achievements. The final results will be announced in Berlin this November.
