30 March 2023

Hosted by RIBA China Chapter in collaboration with Roca Beijing Gallery, the UK Architects in Beijing Alumni Event was held successfully. Aedas Design Principal Ken Wai attended the event and delivered a speech as RIBA Council member – Asia and Australasia, and the Honorary Chair of the RIBA China Chapter.

The theme of this event is ‘Evolving City, joint speech by alumni of five UK schools’, inviting the founders of several young architectural firms to share their insights and explorations on architectural design and cities through their first-hand experiences, as well as the impact of the UK architectural education on their professional development. This aims to provide reference and encouragement for the greater community of young architects and to offer a platform for sharing and communication among designers who have graduated from British architectural schools and are working in China.

‘The architectural design education system brings together talents from all over the world to innovate and ignite hope for the future. While we strive to explore solutions for the current and future challenges, we create a diversified architectural industry with our trials and errors, one that can be passed on to future generations for their continued innovation and healthy development,’ says Ken.
