Aedas is honoured to announce that the Honorary Chair of RIBA China Chapter and Aedas Global Design Principal Ken Wai is in the running for the election of the RIBA International Council. As a leading global architecture firm, Aedas has always played an active role in social responsibility and developing young architects with a global perspective and rich local design experience to promote the future of the profession. Aedas has been a proponent of RIBA’s core values and missions in improving architecture through safeguarding the professional standards of architecture and academic discussions. Aedas looks forward to escalating the standard of architecture around the world and open up new opportunities for the architecture industry.
Ken Wai is a passionate architect. With over 30 years of professional design experience, he has led the designs of multiple influential architectural projects across a wide range of sectors in China and around the world. Winning numerous international awards for his prestige designs, Ken has also served as a professional jury member on many well-received awards. As a member of RIBA, he has always been passionate about the growth of young architects. He has served as an External Examiner for the University of Hong Kong and the Chairperson serving on the Advisory Board of XJTLU Architecture Department. He has been frequently invited to speak and share his experience and insight in industry events, including lectures, forums and exhibitions such as TEDx and Venice International Architecture Biennale.
