‘She is an Architect’, the Women in Architecture Digital Nexus Program 2022 exhibition organized by RIBA Business Information Consulting (Shanghai) Company Limited – RIBA China Chapter (co-hosted by Meta Media and ZiWU) opened on 28 July at ZiWU Modern Studio, Shanghai. Aedas Global Design Principal Christine Lam and Executive Director Yijun Qian, as representatives of outstanding female architects, were invited to showcase their works and shared their insights in the exhibition.
Ken Wai, Aedas Global Design Principal, RIBA Council member – Asia and Australasia and Honorary Chair of the RIBA China Chapter, delivered the opening speech: “RIBA is committed to advancing the world of architecture and creating a global platform that exemplifies diversity and equality. This exhibition celebrates women in architecture and encourages aspiring female architects to realize their potential.”
The exhibition is divided into four sections: professional projects, academic research, student works and “The Voice”, providing a rich visual-auditory sensory experience. The exhibition showcases the works of more than 60 architectural firms from all over the world, illustrating the contributions of female architects to the industry.
