The ‘Net Zero Future Cities – Container Remodelling Workshop’ is a recent event hosted by RIBA China Chapter to celebrate World Children’s Day, where Aedas Global Design Principal Ken Wai commenced with a speech on the professional lives and duties of an architect.
Nine RIBA architects take on the task of guiding more than 30 Grade 8-9 students to reinvent prefabricated containers into future habitats with recyclable materials. The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness on climate issues and their impact, and hopefully plant the idea in their receptive minds that it is indeed possible to create sustainable and adaptable buildings.
