Kelvin Hu has over 26 years of experience in architectural design and has an extraordinary passion for pursuing excellent design. He has been involved in and led various large-scale projects in China and Asia, including industrial parks, super high-rise towers, luxury hotels, large urban complexes, urban planning, and cultural public facilities. He has extensive experience, coordination, and management skill in various sectors.
Spent many years of designing, Kelvin has conducted in-depth research and understanding of Chinese local culture, urban space, and architectural design system, particularly in the areas of super high-rise buildings, mixed-use public buildings, and industrial parks, where he has unique insights. His designs seek harmonious coexistence between architecture and the city. He excels at delivering a people-centric approach and fully expressing diverse cultural values. Kelvin is good at striking a balance and resolving conflicts in complicated projects. In addition, his mature leadership has contributed to the high-quality completion, many of which have received international renowned awards.
Being active in facilitating academic across different regions, Kelvin is a member of the City Chief Planner Committee and he is on the judging panels for the scholarship for the School of Architecture, South China University of Technology and School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Shenzhen University.
Currently, Kelvin is an Executive Director at Aedas, responsible for leading the design team and project management at the Shenzhen office. His iconic design projects include the Shenzhen Building Industry Ecological and Intelligent Valley Headquarters, Guangzhou Futures Industrial Park, Shenzhen Airport Training Base, Zhiliantai Bagualing Industrial Park Urban Renewal, Shenzhen HJ Land Xiyue Tower, Hengqin Science City Phase III, Zhuhai Xingge Centre, and Guangzhou Nansha Plot 12 mixed-use development.
