Magdaline is a Principal at Aedas with an architectural career spanning over 19 years cultivated through diverse experiences in Singapore, London, Boston, and Norway, encompassing an extensive array of project typologies, including commercial, hospitality, educational, civic and cultural, healthcare, industrial, retail, and residential.
Magdaline joined Aedas in 2009 and was the team leader for award-winning projects in Singapore such as Eclipse (previously Sandcrawler) and the Restoration and Refurbishment of Raffles Hotel and Raffles Arcade. Eclipse received the Design of the Year Award at the President’s Design Award Singapore 2014 and Raffles received the Best Conservation Project at SIA’s Design Awards 2020.
Magdaline’s proficiency extends beyond design conceptualisation to project completion, demonstrating adeptness in project management and contract administration. Her on-site experiences have finely tuned her skills in coordinating and managing diverse stakeholders for large-scale and intricate projects. Her involvement spans various contracts procurement methods, and collaborative work with local government authorities.
Magdaline is currently team leader for the Jurong Integrated Transport Hub which features civic and community institutions, and a 27-storey office tower on top of a complex public transport interchange with 2 blocks connected through a sky bridge.
Magdaline also serves as a Member at the Singapore Institute of Architects’ Fire Sub-Committee where she participates in SCDF Fire Waiver Appeal Reviews and speaks at the SIA Annual Fire Seminar. She is also an active member of Singapore Civil Defence Force’s (SCDF) CPFPRTS Review Committee.
