Miguel is a Principal at Aedas with over 15 years of design experience in global locations across South East Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and East Africa with significant experience ranging from Aviation & Infrastructure projects to large-scale mixed-use developments. He studied Architecture and Urban Design at FAUTL – Faculdade de Arquitectura Universidade Tecnica de Lisboa and completed his master’s degree at Kyushu University, Japan.

Miguel has keen conceptualisation & visualisation skills, and a sharp eye for detail and aesthetics; underscoring all of this is the desire to explore innovative and sustainable design solutions concepts balancing functionality and aesthetics. His experience studying, living, and working around the world has lent him an appreciation of cultural nuances and subsequent design demands across different regions. Miguel is currently leading the design for projects in India and Vietnam including facade design for 2 High Speed Rail Stations in Ahmedabad, Vung Tao Masterplan in South Vietnam, Residential and Commercial projects in Delhi, a High-End Mixed-Use Tower in Islamabad, and an aviation project in Saudi Arabia.

As the Lead Designer in a multi-disciplinary team, he has overseen the design for the state-of-the-art expansion of Hamad International Airport in Qatar, enhancing passenger experience, optimising space utilisation, and integrating advanced technologies. He has also worked on the new Bugesera International Airport & Masterplan (Greenfield Airport) in Rwanda, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport expansion in Hyderabad, and more recently the Bhogapuram International Airport (greenfield Airport) in Eastern India.
