Center 66

Wuxi / PRC

Center 66 Phase 1 consists of a 250m Office Tower and the city’s largest mall. The three striking glass atria enclosing the mall evolve as the ideal response to the site’s circulation patterns, distribution of natural light, and arrangement of volumes. Achieving a LEED Gold certification is a fundamental objective of the project, so is the preservation of two historic theatre stages and a hall dating from the Ming dynasty (circa AD 1369), which are located at the heart of the site. The design of Center 66 extensively restores this historic compound whilst integrating it into a large public plaza.

Aedas is the Design and Project Architect for Phase 1 masterplan, retail mall and office tower 1.
