The Shantou section of the East Guangdong Intercity Rail Line comprises a total of 13 stations. Excluding the Shantou Railway Station, and based on the preliminary team’s planning for other stations, we propose a comprehensive development concept for the remaining 12 stations, which involves “highlighting key points, arranging in chronological order, maintaining overall balance, and adopting a ‘one station, one strategy’ approach”. We will fully leverage the local resource advantages of different stations and consider the current development situation, utilizing the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) concept to align with territorial spatial planning and urban resources, and conduct comprehensive research across the entire line, thereby promoting comprehensive collaborative development between the central city area and surrounding regions.
