As with all West End theatres, the Prince of Wales Theatre occupies a very limited site with constrained access. We radically reconfigured the building to meet the needs of contemporary audiences. This embraces the physical shortcomings of inadequate spatial provision, poor circulation, lack of audience facilities and comfort, along with upgrading the appearance of the building both internally and externally.
Our strategy transforms the operation of the building. A new multi-level foyer occupies the existing office space and the striking tower, while existing bars are remodelled and extended. The circulatory pattern within the building is also radically transformed.
The auditorium seating is reconfigured and a new decorative inner layer is applied. This also incorporates the modern technical installations required by large scale musical productions.
