Located in Foshan Shunde, Honghao Square comprises an office tower and a townhouse, which enjoy unobstructed landscape view of the Guipanhai River and the Shunfengshan Park. Embraced by the nature, the project is connected to the metro lines, offering a high accessibility to other districts. The office tower is designed on the site’s west frontage and connected to the townhouse on the east side by a retail podium.
Inspired by a Chinese metaphor ‘dragon leaping over the clouds and crossing the river’, the tower has a simple linear façade with tilting panels on the rooftop, which outlines an abstract cloud-like architectural form and creates a unique urban fabric. Lights penetrating through the curtain wall creates an open and permeable lobby. Transparent glass and curved aluminum panels create a simple fluid architectural form, unifying the architectural language of the office tower and the townhouse.
